70% of bitcoin millionaires lost their cryptocurrency and status in 2022

1:15 pm, October 29, 2022

Amid the fall in the value of digital assets, the bankruptcy of major crypto platforms such as Celsius Network, Voyager Digital, and Three Arrows Capital, and the unstable economic situation in the world, most bitcoin millionaires have lost their fortunes.

Experts estimate that the total number of BTC millionaires decreased by 70.2% in three quarters of 2022. Currently, there are 29,497 addresses in the world that own a million or more bitcoins. In January, this figure was 99,092 addresses. Such a decrease in the number of bitcoin millionaires in 9 months may not seem so significant if you look at the data from 2021. Back then, 116,139 addresses owned a million in BTC.

According to some cryptocurrency analysts, the bear market is coming to an end, so ex-millionaires in BTC have every chance of regaining their status. Thus, Michael van de Poppe, an analyst and founder of Eight trading company, is convinced that BTC will be traded for $ 30,000 in November. According to the founder of Eight, bitcoin has been consolidating around $ 20,000 for a long time, so we can expect growth in the near future. «Within two to three weeks, bitcoin will break through several levels. I think we will reach $ 30,000,» Michael van de Poppe said a few days ago.
