84-year-old Ukrainian woman becomes the oldest user of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance
Binance has shared the story of a customer from Ukraine who was forced to flee Russian aggression abroad at the age of 84. A caring granddaughter issued a cryptocurrency card from Binance for the woman and now sends funds to her grandmother via BinancePay.
The Binance Refugee Card is a special charity payment card for displaced people from Ukraine. For the first 3 months, the exchange credits 75 BUSD to the card, and in just 3 months, displaced persons receive 225 BUSD. To get the card, you need to apply and contact local funds.
Ukrainians will be able to pay with the Binance Refugee Card wherever Visa cards are accepted — in online and offline stores, taxis, hotels, etc. BUSD are automatically converted into the local currency. You can also send cryptocurrencies and fiat to or from the card. This is currently one of the fastest and most affordable ways to transfer money from abroad.
By the way, Binance supports not only displaced people but also those who stay in Ukraine. The company participates in the «digital landlord program» and provides grants for training in promising professions.
