Cryptocurrency analysts published a rating of countries that have a negative attitude towards bitcoin

1:22 pm, October 1, 2022

Despite the fact that the cryptocurrency industry is expanding at an unprecedented rate, there are still a significant number of countries that are lukewarm about introducing digital assets into their economies. A new study by Forexsuggest has shown countries whose regulatory policies are either very slow to work with the cryptocurrency industry or do not put it on the agenda at all.

Thus, only 1.48% of Saudi Arabia’s residents own cryptocurrencies, Denmark has only 1.39%, Iceland — 1.01%, and there are no bitcoin ATMs in the country. Interestingly, due to the shortage of hydroelectric power for its immediate needs, Iceland even cut off power supply to the miners of the flagship cryptocurrency. The anti-rating is followed by Namibia, New Zealand, Japan, Luxembourg, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Norway, and Israel.

Japan turned out to be the country with the lowest number of cryptocurrency-related search phrases on the Internet. Thus, only 8796 key crypto-related queries per million Japanese Internet users. This is 2000 searches less than the same criteria for India.

Earlier, we informed that according to the research of the analytical company Merchant Machine, Ukraine is among the top three countries in the world that most actively use cryptocurrencies. The rating is headed by the United States and the United Kingdom. The Americans and the Brits are ranked first due to factors such as the strength of their economies and loyalty to the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Ukraine, on the other hand, ranks high due to the general trends of cryptocurrency adoption in emerging economies. In addition, Ukraine ranks first in this ranking by the percentage of the population that owns digital assets. The number of such people in society is 12.73%.
