Crypto.com signs the largest ever contract with FIFA World Cup

12:50 pm, March 22, 2022

According to analysts, Crypto.com has signed the largest contract in its history, but the amount of the deal has not yet been disclosed. The exchange will become one of the few title sponsors of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be held at the end of the year in Qatar.

As part of the agreement, Crypto.com branding will appear on both the main products and throughout the broadcasts.

«No sport unites the world like soccer, and no sporting event unites the world like the FIFA World Cup. Only a handful of brands have the opportunity to become official sponsors, and we jumped at the chance to be the first crypto brand to represent the industry at this historic event,» said Stephen Kalifowitz, Chief Marketing Officer of the exchange.

Crypto.com's previous major investment in sports was the renaming of the world-famous Staples Center in Los Angeles to Crypto.com Arena last November. At that time, information about the deal was public and, according to the exchange’s representatives, the amount was $ 700,000,000 dollars, which was the most expensive deal in the history of sports complex naming.

For reference: the exchange is currently used by more than 10 million people and more than 4,000 more are working on it around the world.
