Ukrainian NFT project to create new token collection to restore cultural monuments destroyed by Russians

5:32 pm, October 7, 2022

Ukraine’s largest charity NFT project META HISTORY and the Ministry of Culture have announced the 5th stage of fundraising for the restoration of iconic cultural heritage monuments affected by Russian aggression. They presented new NFTs from the Warline collection from the Digital Museum of War. The collection consists of illustrations of the events of each day of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian occupiers. The works belong to Ukrainian and foreign digital artists. By the way, the project has been launched since the end of March and has already brought the state about 300 ETH (over $ 400,000).

«The Russian army has been striking for 225 days to deprive us of our national symbols. At the same time, on the information front, the aggressor country is distorting reality to hide or justify these crimes. That is why the META HISTORY project is important in two ways at once: countering propaganda and preserving our identity, which is represented by the best cultural objects. We believe that this mission will be supported by many NFT buyer countries. In the future, the collectible value of Warline tokens will increase as they are a sign of involvement in the victory and revival of Ukraine,» said Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.

The last project of NFT is supposed to be an allusion to the final day of the war. Thus, META HISTORY will become a real history of Ukraine’s civil resistance recorded on the blockchain. «We are grateful to everyone involved in the creation of Warline. Thanks to you, this collection is a work of art that gives the most accurate picture of the historical events of the war in Ukraine. Everyone can familiarize themselves with it. By purchasing a piece of it, everyone can become a benefactor who will restore Ukraine. We are asking the NFT community, which has always been distinguished by its support for socially important topics and its desire to change society’s life for the better, to support our project,» the founders of the digital museum called.

The creators of META HISTORY emphasize that the money previously raised from NFT art was not used to buy weapons, but primarily to cover the humanitarian and medical needs of both the Ukrainian military and civilians. To date, the museum has already raised almost $ 1.5 million for the Aid For Ukraine cryptocurrency fund.
