Cryptocurrency Literacy Rating Announced — Ukraine Among the Leaders

Researchers at analytical company Chainalysis have published an updated ranking of global cryptocurrency literacy, with Ukraine ranked third. The top 20 most knowledgeable countries in cryptocurrencies were published on Chainalysis' official Twitter page.

According to the researchers, when compiling the Chainalysis ranking, they took into account the value of cryptocurrencies that pass through centralized exchanges, the volume of P2P trading and the volume of transactions conducted through DeFi protocols.

The list of leaders includes:

Vietnam tops the ranking for the second year in a row: 21% of the country’s population owns digital assets. The Philippines made the biggest breakthrough over the year, moving up from 15th to 2nd place.

As for Ukraine, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, there has been a steady increase in the number of cryptocurrency transfers in our country. Most likely, this is due to charitable contributions to support the Armed Forces and to restore damaged or destroyed critical infrastructure. In contrast, a terrorist country uses cryptocurrency transactions much less frequently. We assume that this is due to the sanctions imposed by the European Union.
