Twitter will allow users to buy and sell NFTs using tweets
Twitter today announced that it will allow users of the social network to buy, sell, and display NFTs directly through tweets. The integration, called «NFT Tweet Tiles,» displays an illustration of the NFT in a special panel in the tweet and contains a button that users can use to go to a marketplace that sells the token.
The innovation is still in the testing phase and currently works with four crypto partners: Magic Eden, NFT Rarible, blockchain developer Flow Dapper Labs, and sports-focused platform Jump.trade.
Now testing: NFT Tweet Tiles?
Some links to NFTs on @rarible, @MagicEden, @dapperlabs and @Jumptradenft will now show you a larger picture of the NFT alongside details like the name and creator. One more step in our journey to let developers impact the Tweet experience. pic.twitter.com/AkBisciB1i

Together, these marketplaces cover several blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Solana, Flow, Polygon, Tezos, and Immutable X.
A Twitter spokesperson confirmed that the NFT Tweet Tiles feature is blockchain-independent, so all networks are supported as long as the token links come from a partner marketplace. He added that «the feature is currently being tested with select Twitter users on iOS and some desktop users. Users will only see the NFT Tweet Tile integration if they are in the test group.» By the way, this feature does not require a premium Twitter Blue subscription.
This week it also became known that Twitter is working on launching its own cryptocurrency wallet. It will support deposits and withdrawals. There is currently no official information from the social network’s representatives on the launch of the new functionality. However, users have already divided into 2 camps: some are ready to test the new product right now, while others consider the launch of a Twitter wallet to be a foolish idea.
