The MoneyGram app will allow you to conduct transactions with cryptocurrencies
The American financial company MoneyGram is launching a new service for its users — now customers in several states can buy and sell cryptocurrencies through a mobile application. Currently, Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and several other digital assets are available in the company’s app. MoneyGram has promised that the list will be significantly expanded in the future.
The company’s managers note the rapid growth of people’s interest in the cryptocurrency space, so the creation of a mobile application was a logical decision for both MoneyGram and its customers. The company sees itself as an important link that bridges the gap between traditional finance and cryptocurrency. The company worked in partnership with the Coinme exchange to launch crypto services through the mobile app.
«Despite the strong volatility, cryptocurrencies will remain with us for a long time. Itis important to accept this and promote their adoption,» said Alex Holmes, CEO of MoneyGram.
Back in May, MoneyGram launched a service that will allow customers to send money to other countries using stablecoins. This option will allow them to convert stablecoins into fiat currency wherever the financial company’s branches are located. And in June, MoneyGram introduced a service that allows customers to transfer cryptocurrency cash in all branches of the company. However, it was only about tokens on the Stellar blockchain.
