G7 leaders to urgently discuss cryptocurrency regulation after Luna crash
This was announced at the conference by the head of the Bank of France, François de Gaulle. He said that the situation with UST/LUNA accelerated the need for consultations between the financial leaders of the G7.
The official emphasized that this issue was marked as the most urgent against the backdrop of the huge volatility that has been taking place over the past 10 days and was caused by the fall of the UST/LUNA: «What has happened recently is a wake-up call for the continued need for global regulation.»
The G7 representatives first started talking about cryptocurrencies at the end of 2020, but the market situation accelerated their plans. It is worth noting that this is a global trend: the South Korean parliament has already spoken out in defense of the victims of Do Kwonand his team, and information about the accelerated introduction of CBDCs (state digital currencies) was leaked to the media yesterday.
