Hacking the account of the most famous digital artist brought hackers at least half a million dollars

Yesterday, the account of the famous digital artist Beeple was hacked. The attacker posted information with a phishing link to a fake raffle in collaboration with Louis Vuitton. When users clicked on the link, they lost their crypto assets.

The phishing links were on Twitter Beeple for about five hours in a row. During this time, the attacker received crypto assets worth $ 73,000 and $ 365,000 to two different addresses. In total, the hacker earned about half a million dollars.

However, as we reported in yesterday’s post on this topic, the amount of money lost could be much higher — Beeple was followed on Twitter by 672,000 people in total.
