Famous racer to be the first to receive salary in Ethereum cryptocurrency

Devlin DeFrancesco has become the first driver in the IndyCar series to be paid in the cryptocurrency Ethereum (ETH).

DeFrancesco has signed a sponsorship contract with the Canadian cryptocurrency exchange Bitboo. Under the terms of the agreement, the trading platform will not only pay Devlin’s team for advertising, but will also transfer his regular salary to him in ETH.

«I believe in the potential and strength of Ethereum in the long run. We hope that Bitcoin’s investment in our team will pay off, just like my investment in ETH,» DeFrancesco commented on his decision.
