China’s Supreme Court demands blockchain integration

China’s Supreme People’s Court has called on the local judiciary to integrate blockchain technology to create links between courts across the country by 2025.

In a document published on Wednesday, court officials said that blockchain can verify and share court data, legal documents, and reports. This would make it possible to systematize more than 2 billion court documents.

The court’s proposal states that it is potentially worthwhile to use different blockchains simultaneously to increase the reliability and trustworthiness of processes.
