NFL superstar may end up in prison due to the collapse of Voyager Digital cryptocurrency project
According to The Atletic, NFL (National Football League) superstar Rob Gronkowski is at risk of going to jail. It is all because of his active participation in the promotion of the bankrupt cryptocurrency firm Voyager Digital.
A class action lawsuit against football player Gronkowski and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban claims that they helped defraud hundreds of investors. Gronkowski and Cuban advertised Voyager Digital, encouraging their fans to pay attention to the fraudulent product.
At present, Rob Gronkowski’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has refused to comment on the athlete’s participation in the court proceedings as a defendant. At this stage, it remains to be seen whether Gronkowski will become an official defendant or whether Voyager Digital representatives will resolve the current issues.
As a reminder, Voyager Digital filed for bankruptcy shortly after the cryptocurrency hedge fund Three Arrows Capital (3AC) received a liquidation order in the Virgin Islands (UK). 3AC was unable to repay a loan of about $ 650 million to Voyager, at which time FTX founder Сем Бенкман-Фрід" href="https://noworries.media/biography/sem-benkman-frid/" data-bio-id="3697">Sam Bankman-Fried (who was not yet considered a fraudster) offered to buy 3AC's assets at market prices.
