Elon Musk again urges McDonald’s to accept DOGE cryptocurrency as payment

Twitter CEO Elon Musk confirmed his promise made a year ago that he would eat a Happy Meal live if McDonald’s started accepting the DOGE meme-coin.

Now the token is among the TOP 10 largest cryptocurrencies with a capitalization of $ 11.3 billion. Over the past 24 hours, crypto traders have bought and sold tokens for almost $ 500 million, and the price has risen by more than 7% over the past week.

The cryptocurrency community speculates that Twitter will add Dogecoin as a payment instrument in the future. The chances of such a theory increased after Musk published presentation slides from a private meeting on possible changes to Twitter 2.0, where there was nothing in place of «future payment instruments» — the businessman left this point mysterious (and Musk has long been known for his support of DOGE).

As a reminder, Musk recently had enough and couldn’t change his Twitter name — it happened after he decided to troll the lawyer of the plaintiffs accusing him of manipulating the stock market.
