Craig Wright accuses Apple of illegally publishing a bitcoin white paper

On April 6, Wright responded on Twitter to a user’s remark that Apple may have acted illegally. The user asked the Australian scientist for his opinion on the matter, and Wright concisely agreed with the thesis.

Some crypto enthusiasts on Twitter openly called on Wright to sue Apple even if nothing comes of it. Given the tech giant’s financial and legal resources, Wright could end up making a fool of himself once again. The self-proclaimed Satoshi has long been known for his controversial approach to asserting intellectual property rights to the flagship crypto asset and the technology behind it.

On April 6, an American technologist and blogger Andy Baio discovered a white paper on bitcoin in Apple’s macOS. The white paper is hidden in such a way that users cannot find it during normal use of macOS. In February of this year, the self-proclaimed creator of bitcoin, Craig Wright, lost his own laws uit — the Australian once again wanted to prove that he was indeed the developer of bitcoin. The judge emphasized that in order to prove Wright’s copyright to the development of the VTC, the scientist had to test his involvement in the creation of the first block in the Bitcoin network (genesis). However, he never did. Wright’s inability to pass the copyright test helped to bring about the verdict in the case.
