Research: people are not buying NFT tokens because of their technological capabilities

According to a new survey published and conducted by DEXterlab on June 10, 64.3% of 1,318 respondents said that the main reason for buying NFTs is «the desire to make money.»

The second most common reason for consumers to buy NFTs was to join a specific community. This answer was given by 14.7% of respondents. Digital art collectors account for 12.4% of all survey participants, while 8.6% of people buy NFTs to gain access to games, various privileges, etc.

Regardless of the main reason for buying NFTs, the majority of the owners participating in the survey stated that they have not been able to make money on their investments so far. At the same time, 41.7% of the respondents said that they were still able to make a profit from their previously acquired NFTs.
