In Russia, Internet access will be available only with a passport
The terrorist state is launching a pilot test of the so-called «secure Internet» — the global network will be available only to those Russians who can prove their identity with a passport. This was stated by Andrey Svintsov, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications.
The occupiers say that this is being done, in particular, to ensure that citizens of the aggressor country «risk their personal data less and encounter fraudsters less often.» Another goal is to achieve «absolute transparency» so that Russian special services can easily find the right users.
According to Svintsov, the network is being prepared together with telecom operators, manufacturers of Russian hardware and developers of information security software.
«The main thing is that these technologies are secure and do not contain any „bookmarks“ that will allow our adversaries to open the secure part of the Internet through their tools in software or hardware at the production stage. Therefore, the speed of technology implementation will be lightning fast,» Svintsov said.
The Russian official noted that the final switching on of the secure Russian Internet will not disconnect the occupiers from the global network.
Earlier this month, the aggressor accused Apple of cyber espionage. As reported by the Russian FSB, the tech giant allegedly used spyware in its gadgets in Russia and collaborated with US intelligence agencies.
