Judges in Brazil will be trained to work with cryptocurrencies
Brazil is preparing its judicial system for an increase in the number of court cases related to digital assets. To this end, Brazilian judges will be trained to work with cryptocurrencies.
Last week, the Brazilian Ministry of Justice organized a meeting where federal judges were ordered to pay more attention to offenses related to the cryptocurrency market. In this regard, judges will have to expand their knowledge base in the field of virtual assets and undergo special training.
It should be noted that Brazil has no regulations for digital assets. This means that court decisions in the form of legal precedent will be key.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the volume of cryptocurrency trading in the country has increased dramatically in recent years, and, accordingly, the number of cryptocurrency crimes has increased. About ten million Brazilians own digital assets in the country.
As a reminder, since the end of May, it has become possible to buy real estate in Brazil for bitcoins.
