Ubisoft plans to release a game using blockchain

Ubisoft has announced the launch of its Champions Tactics game. The game was developed on the Oasys blockchain, which uses the Proof-of-Stake algorithm and is optimized for gaming.

The Oasys blockchain was created in early 2022 with the support of numerous video game developers, including Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Sega, and Ubisoft.

«Champions Tactics Grimoria Chronicles is a brand new experimental PVP game for PC. Assemble a team of mythical champions, take part in exciting tactical battles with other players, and discover the legends of the dark and mystical world of Grimoria,» the company said in a statement.

So far, Ubisoft has not disclosed the game’s launch date. The company only stated that the game will be free after the launch.
