In Ukraine, 18 cryptocurrency companies have been labeled «dubious»

12:41 pm, August 18, 2023

The National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine (NSSMC) has added 18 companies to the list of dubious projects that raised funds from citizens under the guise of cryptocurrency trading. According to the agency, investments in these firms led to «full or partial loss of assets.»

The National Commission has published a list of companies that, according to officials, had criminal motives and sought to profit from gullible crypto users:

  • Amega Global Ltd;
  • HYCM;
  • ACCUINDEX;
  • Duar Soft;
  • CapitalXtend;
  • AXIORY;
  • FONDEXX;
  • Gonzo Invest;
  • ForexChief;
  • IQcent;
  • VIDEFOREX;
  • Worldforex;
  • Bethle Aster;
  • Forex EuroClub;
  • VINEX TRADE;
  • BITCOINBTC;
  • Alex Yanovsky School;
  • Kievs Credits Union Bank.

The NSSMC emphasized that these companies attracted clients not only from Ukraine but also from the US and the eurozone.

«The country does not yet have legislative regulation of the cryptocurrency market, so investors should be aware of the significant risks of investing in digital assets,» the agency said.

The Commission plans to hold meetings with European and American regulators to raise awareness of this issue.

In early June, the NSSMC presented a draft law regulating the taxation of cryptocurrency transactions in the country and an updated text of the Law on Virtual Assets with the implemented provisions of the European MiCA regulation. In turn, the National Bank of Ukraine opposed the cryptocurrency h ryvnia and the digitalization of cash. The reason is martial law, which, by the way, has been extended until November 15.
