Telegram developer’s blockchain plans to enter the Guinness Book of Records
The developers of the TON Foundation have announced that they will cooperate with Alibaba Cloud to install 256 servers. This is necessary to test the performance of the Open Network (TON). The management plans to apply for the status of the «fastest blockchain in the world» to the Guinness Book of Records.
The top management of The Open Network Foundation has announced the exact date of the public network performance test — it will take place on October 31, 2023. It will demonstrate the reliability, scalability, and speed of the Open Network (TON) blockchain. According to official data, since 2022, the blockchain has shown exponential growth. The network has recorded a 20-fold increase in the number of addresses, their number has increased from 170 thousand to 3.5 million.
The growth of TON’s user base was accompanied by the expansion of validator nodes to 350. This has helped to improve decentralization rates. Throughout the expansion process, the blockchain has demonstrated a reliable reputation — no major network failures have been officially recorded.
«We are looking forward to October 31, 2023. Our team wants to confirm that the TON blockchain is technically superior to the competition, especially in its ability to scale,» the TON Foundation said. — «This is the first large-scale public performance test.»
