Cryptocurrency wallet with Dogecoin meme token to be sent to the moon
Supporters of the Dogecoin meme coin DOGE $0.32 Department Of Government Efficiency -0.26% Market capitalization $0.31 billion VOL. 24 hours $1.51 billion are planning to launch a physical cryptocurrency wallet to the moon. The flight will take place on December 23.
The operation to send DOGE to the Earth’s satellite is being carried out in cooperation with Astrobotic Technology, an aerospace company that specializes in robotic technologies for lunar and planetary missions.
The physical Dogecoin wallet will go into space as part of the Peregrine Mission One. Its primary task is to deliver the lander of the same name to the lunar surface, in the area of the Death Lake. The platform will carry 14 NASA scientific instruments, as well as various cargoes from third-party companies.
The Peregrine lander will be launched into high Earth orbit using a Vulcan Centaur super-heavy-class launch vehicle developed by United Launch Alliance. This will be the first flight for the launch vehicle.
It should be noted that in October, the Dogecoin community marked another event with the erection of a monument to the DOGE dog symbol. The event took place on November 2 in a park in the Japanese city of Sakura.
As a reminder, many cryptocurrency enthusiasts and supporters of DOGE believe that Elon Musk secretly financed the development of the cryptocurrency.
Thus, in February, Musk attracted $ 500 million in investments in DOGE by publishing a photo of his dog. In April, after the Twitter logo was changed to a picture of a dog meme, Dogecoin’s price soared by more than 20%.
It should be added that not all members of the cryptocurrency community gave a positive assessment of Musk’s actions, and in June of this year, several Dogecoin owners filed a class action lawsuit against the businessman. The owner of Tesla was accused of insider trading in cryptocurrencies and demanded $ 258 billion in compensation for losses.
