Former TikTok employee to launch game development platform

Jason Fang, the former head of TikTok’s gaming division, has announced the launch of his own game development platform called Meta0.

According to Jason Fang, Meta0 aims to show game developers the strengths of various blockchains, such as high-speed and low-cost Solana transactions, Ethereum security, and others. According to the preliminary information about Meta0 (published by the platform’s representatives on 25 pages), Meta0 is already looking for investors willing to invest in a «promising» project.

«Any developer implementing NFT or web3 technologies in their games has to choose a single blockchain among a large number: Polygon, Solana, Binance Smart Chain, and others. We want to present a platform that combines the functions of all blockchains,» Fang said.

The former TikTok employee hopes for a great success of his project and the support of gaming enthusiasts. However, not all gamers support the integration of NFTs into the gaming space. In early June, gamers hated the developers of the Tom Clancy Ghost Recon game under its teaser on YouTube. Gamers were outraged by the integration of NFTs into the new Ubisoft game. According to fans, the developers wanted to make extra money using blockchain. Back at the Gaming Developers Conference 2022 held in March, representatives of large gaming companies assured that they were not interested in cryptocurrencies.
