Registration in the Ethereum domain name system increased by 163% in a week

Between June 27 and July 3, the number of registrations in the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domain name system amounted to 78,566. Compared to the previous week, this figure increased by 163%.

According to ENS Domains, 29,727 ENS domains were registered in the system on July 3 alone. On that day, the service received $ 684,000 — more than a third of the total $ 1.8 million in 7 days.

At the time of writing, the number of domain registrations in July has already reached 109,312, which indicates that in a few days the service will be able to exceed the figures for June, when there were 122,327 registrations in 30 days. Also, ENS’s profit is now close to $ 1.99 million, while in June the service earned $ 2.55 million.

As a reminder, the unknown owner of the 000. eth domain recently sold it for a record-breaking amount of 300 ETH (about $ 316,000). Its price beat the cost of the domains porno. eth (184 ETH) and sam. eth (100 ETH).
