US and Korea agree to cooperate to investigate UST stablecoin crash

11:36 pm, July 6, 2022

The law enforcement agencies of South Korea and the United States have agreed to cooperate in the investigation of the Terra ecosystem collapse — representatives of the prosecutor’s offices of both countries will exchange information on the progress of the investigation.

The decision was made during a meeting between South Korean Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon and representatives of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Andrea Griswold and Scott Hartman. According to journalists, the parties also discussed possible ways to expand cooperation in the investigation of other financial crimes.

As a reminder, Do Kwon and Terraform Labs are currently subject to many lawsuits, with new charges appearing almost every day. Some of his employees are no longer allowed to leave South Korea.

Interestingly, at a time when law enforcement agencies in South Korea and the United States are joining forces to jointly investigate the Terra collapse, Luna founder Do Kwon remains optimistic and «has great confidence» that the Terra project will be revived thanks to developers who, according to him, are actively writing various solutions for the new version of the ecosystem.
