Research: 30% of Britons are ready to pay for goods with cryptocurrency
Checkout.com has studied consumer attitudes toward cryptocurrencies. A total of 30,000 consumers and 3,000 merchants in 11 countries were surveyed. According to the report, 30% of British consumers are ready to use cryptocurrency as a form of payment, and if we consider the opinion of respondents around the world, the number increases to 40%
«We believe that this is the largest consumer survey of its kind, and its results demonstrate a clear evolution of attitudes towards cryptocurrencies around the world. It’s a natural transition from an early adoption phase to a more practical, pragmatic, and positive attitude overall,» said Jess Houlgrave, Head of Cryptocurrency Strategy at Checkout.com.
At the same time, 28% of British consumers believe that cryptocurrencies should be considered as an independent form of currency rather than an investment asset. Almost half of the respondents — 45% - reported growing trust in brands that accept cryptocurrency payments.
