Blockchain technologies will be used to popularize Islam

The NFT platform MetaDee has launched handwritten non-fungible tokens with verses from the Quran, hoping to popularize the Islamic religion.

According to MetaDee founder Deepali Shukla, the use of blockchain technologies can help preserve and distribute the Muslim holy book to more people and draw attention to Islam. Also, given that digital NFTs are equivalent to real works of art, there is a better chance of preserving the «sacred information» for future generations.

At the end of May, the founders of the Marhaba DeFi Network, a decentralized network aimed at the Muslim audience, announced the launch of certification for NFTs in accordance with Shariah law. Thus, before being placed on the MRHB SouqNFT trading platform, digital art objects will be checked for compliance with the ethical canons of Islam. The Supervisory Board will check NFT for the absence of images of nude body parts, incitement to hatred and racism.
