Binance started sending Russians a demand to urgently withdraw cryptocurrency
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has started sending notifications to Russian clients about the need to close accounts and withdraw funds from the platform. At least several thousand Russian users have already received notifications about the need to complete the migration of client accounts to the CommEX exchange or any other crypto platform. There are no restrictions on withdrawals.
Binance administration warned in a letter that starting from December 29, 2023, open positions of users whose «location is temporarily or permanently determined in the territory of the Russian Federation» will be gradually closed by force.
As a reminder, in November, Binance customers were informed of the platform’s final withdrawal from the territory of the terrorist country and the sale of the business to the partner cryptocurrency platform CommEX.
