A man calling himself a bitcoin developer failed to prove it in court

7:18 am, January 27, 2024

The UK Supreme Court has refused to allow crypto investor Craig Wright to appeal the decision of lower courts that did not find any slander in the words of blogger Peter McCormack.

Craig Wright filed a lawsuit against blogger Peter McCormack two years ago. The blogger has repeatedly claimed that Craig Wright is lying, impersonating the creator of bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto.

In August 2022, a British court ruled that the plaintiff had deliberately provided false testimony. Craig Wright considered the decision unfair and filed an appeal in July 2023, but the court rejected it.

Craig Wright tried to have the second instance decision overturned, but this time his arguments were not accepted. The Supreme Court, the last instance of the United Kingdom, rejected Wright’s appeal.
