NFT tokens from the BAYC collection turned out to be too expensive for Madonna
The most successful singer in the history of pop music, Madonna, has said that NFT tokens from the BAYC collection are too expensive for her.
As it became known, Madonna, whose net worth is over $ 500 million, is a fan of the Bored Ape Yacht Club. Recently, the singer wanted to buy the non-fungible Bored Ape token #3756 because of its similarity to Madonna’s style, but its price of $ 1.27 million was too expensive even for a world-class singer.
«I really insisted on buying a bored monkey and I really wanted a monkey with a leather motorcycle cap and colored teeth. I was told that this NFT was inspired by my image, but it was bought by a woman who is a fan of mine. She was going to sell the NFT to me, but the price was too high,» Madonna explained.
At the time of writing, Madonna owns one Bored Monkey #4988, but it is less rare and popular than Bored Ape #3756, so the singer hopes to be able to buy the desired non-fungible token at a cheaper price in the future.
It is worth noting that Madonna is the co-author and main character of several NFTs. Thus, in early May, the pop diva and digital artist Beeple presented a joint NFT work consisting of three videos depicting three unique aspects of life in relation to having children. One of the videos depicts a naked Madonna literally giving birth to a tree (of course, this is a computer-generated image). The video is called «Mother of Creation». In the video «Mother of Evolution,» butterflies fly out of the singer’s body, symbolizing hope.
