The TON digital token has become more popular than the Ethereum cryptocurrency

CryptoQuant analyst maartunn believes that by December 20, 2024, the number of holders of The Open Network (TON) cryptocurrency may exceed the corresponding figure for Ethereum (ETH).

«There are currently 137 million ETH holders, while the number of TON holders has reached 112 million. Over the past month, the number of TON supporters has been growing by 500,000 every day. If this trend continues, TON could overtake Ethereum in terms of the number of holders by the end of the year,» says Maartunn.

According to the analyst, if the growth rate slows down, the number of TON holders will exceed Ethereum’s in early February 2025.

Although the number of Ethereum holders is also increasing, it is slow, which may affect the projected dates.

«It's only a matter of time before TON holders outnumber ETH holders,» Maartunn emphasized.
