Mt. Gox moved 2,324 BTC to an unknown wallet

A wallet associated with the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox, has transferred 2,324 bitcoins BTC $74,528.58 Mezo Wrapped BTC -0.40% Market capitalization $43.11 million VOL. 24 hours $1.89 billion worth $ 234 million to an unknown wallet. This transfer took place against the backdrop of a rising bitcoin price that surpassed the $ 100,000 mark. This was triggered by expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut following the latest inflation report.

The transfer reportedly comes after 2,623 bitcoins worth about $ 255 million were transferred from the same wallet on Wednesday to two addresses, of which about $ 10 million went to B2C2.

The rest of the funds were transferred to other addresses before reaching the wallet beginning with «14jvfU».It is worth adding that Mt. Gox has already made similar transfers this month: on December 5, $ 2.4 billion worth of bitcoins were transferred to an unknown wallet, and the next day, more than $ 350 million. After these transactions, the Mt. Gox wallet holds about 36,000 BTC worth $ 3.6 billion.
