Fundstrat analyst: bitcoin will fall to $ 50,000

2:35 pm, January 15, 2025

Famous analyst Tom Lee of Fundstrat shared his predictions for the future of the flagship cryptocurrency BTC $99,754.00 Bitcoin 3.58% Market capitalization $1.98 trillion VOL. 24 hours $2.75 billion . At the time of writing, according to the analytical tracker CoinMarketCap, bitcoin is trading at around $ 97,369 after recovering from $ 89,900 at the beginning of the week. In December 2024, Bitcoin reached a record high of $ 108,268, but subsequently fell by 15%, which, according to Lee, is a typical correction for an asset with high volatility.

The analyst predicts that the main cryptocurrency may continue to fall, dropping to $ 70,000 in the short term. However, he sees this as an opportunity for investors to buy the asset at lower prices before the next rise. Lee also suggests that a drop to $ 50,000 could be the starting point for a new significant rise in the cryptocurrency.

Despite potential short-term losses, Li is confident that Bitcoin will remain one of the most profitable assets in 2025. This optimism is supported by institutional investors such as MicroStrategy, which recently purchased $ 243 million worth of Bitcoin, increasing its holdings to 450,000 BTC. These actions demonstrate faith in Bitcoin’s long-term prospects, even in the face of temporary market fluctuations.

The analyst also emphasized that the growing adoption of cryptocurrencies by large corporations and financial institutions is a key driver for the market’s further development. In his opinion, this will ensure a steady increase in the value of bitcoin, even if fluctuations are possible in the short term.
