In his statement, Benkman-Fried emphasized that cryptocurrencies are important not only for conventional payments but also for future AI-native payments. «It's not just people who want to pay you in crypto, increasingly it’s AI agents. Crypto is the future of AI-native payments,» he said, linking the development of the crypto market to the spread of autonomous AI agents.

His words came shortly after the launch of a new payment infrastructure by World Liberty Financial, which is affiliated with the Trump family.
