Two Ukrainian tech giants start accepting payments in cryptocurrency

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are now accepted as a means of payment at two of Ukraine’s largest tech retailers, including Techno Yizhak and Stylus.

Customers can now buy goods from one of the two retailers using bitcoin at more than 100 retail outlets.

According to the Obozrevatel publication, bitcoin payments in both companies will be made through WhitePay.

WhitePay is a part of the WhiteBIT ecosystem, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Europe created by Ukrainians. Whitepay CEO Glib Udovichenko said that the new partnership prepares Ukraine for the digital asset market.

«Ukraine has been leading the world in terms of the number of cryptocurrency holders and transaction volume for several years,» he explained. «We are providing buyers with more opportunities to utilize their cryptocurrency assets.»
