NBA to launch its own cryptocurrency game based on blockchain
Web3 project Sorare will launch a licensed fantasy basketball game from the NBA. The metaverse will be based on Ethereum.
The game will allow sports fans to collect unique cards with basketball players, exchange them, and create their own basketball team. Players will also have access to basketball leagues, receive additional content from NBA Top Shot and NBA The Assosiation. In addition, rewards in NFT and ETH will be available for users of the platform.

The developers report that the new project from Sorare will fall into the category of free-to-play games. At the start, players will receive a set of free cards that are not NFT and will not be sold. Sorare plans to launch the new game by the beginning of the upcoming 2022−23 season, which will start on October 18.
