The chief developer of the Ethereum cryptocurrency told how blockchain technologies will help Ukraine

Vitalik Buterin, one of the founders of Ethereum, visited Ukraine for the first time in his life, taking part in the Kyiv Tech Summit.

Previously, Buterin had not announced any plans to physically attend the event, which was held with additional security measures — many guests attended the event only online to avoid risk.

During the panel discussion, Buterin and the other guests discussed the use of cryptocurrencies to finance Ukraine in the current situation, the post-war role of blockchain and technology in the country’s recovery, and many other painful but necessary topics.

In total, Kyiv Tech Summit brought together over 500 developers and industry leaders from all over the world. The event could also be attended by purchasing a charity VIP ticket.
