Arthur Hayes predicts that bitcoin will fall to $ 50,000

Arthur Hayes, co-founder of the notorious BitMEX cryptocurrency exchange, said that the price of bitcoin could drop to $ 50,000. In his opinion, the current market correction is not over, so investors should be prepared for further fluctuations.

Hayes notes that although bitcoin remains a strong asset, its volatility can lead to a drop in the rate. He explains that after a significant increase in the value of the cryptocurrency in 2023, the market may «digest» the accumulated profits. This process, according to the analyst, is usually accompanied by corrections.

One of the factors affecting the change in the value of bitcoin is regulatory uncertainty in the United States. Hayes also points to macroeconomic conditions, in particular the Federal Reserve’s interest rate hike, which affects risky assets, including cryptocurrencies.

Although many investors expect further growth of bitcoin, Arthur Hayes warns that short-term fluctuations can be significant. However, he also emphasized that in the long run, bitcoin’s value has every chance of returning to an uptrend.
