Binance Exchange comments on the removal of its cryptocurrency wallet from Google Play
Information about the removal of the Trust Wallet cryptocurrency wallet from Google Play has appeared on the web. Trust Wallet is an official Binance app that the platform acquired in 2018.
«Google has temporarily removed our app from the Play Store. Google notified us of the possible removal and we filed an appeal a few weeks ago. However, while waiting for a response from Google to our appeal, the platform removed our app any way,» journalists of the Incrypted Headlines Telegram channel reported, citing Trust Wallet representatives.
At the time of writing, the Trust Wallet app is back in the Play Store.
Earlier this month, Trust Wallet CEO Eowyn Chen recommended that Apple smartphone users disable iMessage out of fear of a zero-day exploit. Chen cited «verified information from Intel» that revealed a zero-day exploit for iOS iMessage that is being sold on the darknet for $ 2 million.
Last year, on April 22, Trust Wallet developers reported that software users lost $ 170 thousand. The vulnerability affected wallets created in the browser extension between November 14 and 23, 2022.
