Binance plans to exclude Russians from Terra token distribution
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that it supports the rebranding of the Terra network to the Terra Classic network and that it will support the airdrop of the updated LUNA token, but Russian users of the exchange will likely be excluded from it.
Binance stated that it will distribute the new LUNA coins to eligible user accounts according to an approved distribution plan. The specific distribution ratio will be announced to exchange users at a later date.
However, US citizens, legal entities, and regions under trade or economic sanctions will not be able to participate in the airdrop. This definition by the exchange has caused concern among LUNA coin holders from the Russian segment.
In particular, the response to a request from English-language technical support about the possible participation of Russian citizens in the LUNA airdrop was negative. At the same time, the response of the Russian-speaking support was the opposite. Perhaps they were simply not informed of the decision made by the management.
