Binance ranks 15th in the security rating of cryptocurrency exchanges

Analytical company BrokerChooser has published the top 20 largest cryptocurrency exchanges in terms of investment security for trading digital assets.

The rating was based on such factors as «regulation, consumer protection, fairness, and transparency.» In most categories, the American crypto exchange Coinbase outperformed all competitors and took first place with a score of 4.1 out of 5. This is surprising, as this exchange was recently accused of insider trading.

The second position in the list of the safest exchanges was given to FTX US Derivatives. The options and futures market owned by FTX. US was rated 4.0.

The third place in the ranking with a score of 3.8 was taken by the British-Luxembourg platform Bitstamp. According to analysts, the exchange has not had any regulatory problems over the past five years.

Bittrex and Gemini rounded out the top five safest digital asset trading platforms with the same score of 3.7. Such popular exchanges as Crypto.com and Binance.US took eighth and ninth place, respectively. The Binance platform itself was ranked as high as 15th, and the KuCoin exchange was ranked even lower — 18th.

FTX US Derivatives, Gemini, and Kraken Futures had the best regulatory situation. The KuCoin and ByBit platforms tied for last place in this category with a score of 1.0.

Gemini was the leader in the consumer protection category, while OKX took the last position. coinbase was named the «most transparent» platform with a score of 4.8, while six exchanges received a score of 1.0, including Binance, OKX, KuCoin, Gate. io, Bybit, and Phemex.
