Binance to close Ethereum crypto wallet for maintenance tomorrow

Binance representatives have informed exchange users about the closure of the Ethereum cryptocurrency wallet service for several hours. This is due to technical work on the platform scheduled for November 8. The wallet service for the ERC-20 network will be suspended from 9:00 a.m. (Kyiv time) and will last about three hours.

According to Binance’s official announcement, token trading on the Ethereum network will not be affected during the wallet maintenance, and deposits and withdrawals will be suspended. «We will reopen deposits and withdrawals once the maintenance is complete. There will be no further announcements,» the exchange representatives emphasized.

Over the weekend, the Binance press service asked users to reinstall the Android mobile app. Numerous customers had previously downloaded and installed phishing software, which resulted in the loss of their virtual assets. The company said it had nothing to do with the fake app with malicious code. Several customers said that they tried to send digital assets in USDT from Metamask wallets or other exchanges using the Binance mobile app, but never received the deposits. The support team asked them to send a transaction hash (tx) and then informed them that the deposit address did not belong to the exchange.
