Bitcoin’s rate has reached its highest level since July, and other cryptocurrencies have also gone up
This week, the value of bitcoin has reached its highest level since July of this year, which has also pushed other digital assets up. Over the past day, the rate of the world’s most popular cryptocurrency has reached $ 68,284 (CoinDesk data). At the time of writing, bitcoin was trading at $ 67,433 per coin.
Over the past few days, the bitcoin rate has increased by more than 9%, which has also had a positive impact on some other digital assets. Thus, the Ethereum rate has increased by 7% in recent days, the value of Solana has risen by almost 10%, and Dogecoin has risen by 15%.
The positive trend has also affected stocks related to digital assets. The value of the securities of the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase rose by 7% per day, and the three-day growth amounted to 19%. As a result, the value of Coinbase shares has reached the highest level since August this year.
One of the reasons for bitcoin’s 53 percent growth this year is the launch of bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which have attracted a large number of new investors. Spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds appeared in January, and in July, an ETF on the «ether» was launched. Over the past three days, investors have invested a total of $ 1.2 billion in ETFs, bringing their total capitalization to over $ 63 billion.
