Bitcoin enters the top 10 most expensive assets in the world
Despite losing more than 18% last month, bitcoin managed to become the tenth most valuable asset in the world. Bitcoin entered the top 10, outperforming Meta by $ 50 billion (Meta's market capitalization is $ 554 billion, and BTC’s capitalization is $ 571 billion at the time of writing).
In May, the world’s most popular cryptocurrency was in a rapid downward trend, setting new anti-records. This is because of the LUNA/UST collapse, which caused volatility in the market and investors' fear of investing in cryptocurrencies.
At the moment, BTC accounts for 44% of the entire cryptocurrency sector and dominates among about 19,000 cryptocurrencies in the world. This is enough to rank it as the tenth most expensive asset in the world.
It is worth noting that bitcoin’s market capitalization is only 5.12% of the total market capitalization of gold ($ 87 trillion), which ranks first in the list among 6,265 competitors.
