Twitter’s blue verification checkmark is now available in Ukraine

Today, March 24, Twitter Blue subscription became available to users around the world. Ukrainians can also appreciate the benefits of the paid functionality. Twitter reported that the old verification checkboxes will be canceled on April 1, so the platform advised users to subscribe to Twitter Blue as soon as possible.

Subscription payments are made through the Stripe service. In its terms of service agreement, Twitter noted that it may suspend or completely close access to paid services at any time. The social network is not obliged to provide any explanation for its decision.

Twitter explained that in addition to the blue check mark, users will be able to edit their tweets, download videos in 1080p resolution, and have access to reader mode. Blue verification holders will also be able to write much longer text tweets and create audio recordings. Twitter Blue users will see half as many ads and will be prioritized in replays, mentions, and the search feed.

As a reminder, Twitter Blue subscription costs $ 11 per month for iOS customers to compensate for Apple’s 30% commission. For other users, additional features on the platform will cost $ 8 per month. Twitter Blue subscribers will also have access to two-factor authentication via SMS.

It should be added that Twitter may soon have a competitor. Meta is working on the development of a social network that, according to media experts, will be similar to the platform owned by Elon Musk. In terms of functionality, the app is likely to contain «links that can be viewed directly in the post, user biographies, nicknames, and verification icons.» In addition, users will be able to share images and videos.
