Blockchain projects from Ukraine have raised more than $ 1 billion over the past few years
Since 2017, more than 80 Web3 startups have been created and launched in Ukraine. Such a rapid development of the industry has attracted about $ 1 billion in investments over the past four years. This is stated by Hypra venture fund in its new report.
Among the investors that have backed Ukrainian Web3 companies are 16z, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Hypersphere, and the recently bankrupt Alameda.
Hypra’s research shows that there are more than 50 blockchain development companies operating in Ukraine, providing their services to clients from all over the world. Natives of Ukraine have founded 10 venture funds focused on cryptocurrency market players. The largest of them are ZBS Capital, TA Ventures, Hypra, and SID Fund.
The Hypra venture fund was established in March 2022 by Igor Pertsiya (former partner of TA Ventures and CEX. io) and IT entrepreneur Dmytro Volkonsky (TRIONIKA). In addition to investing in Web3 projects, the fund engages ready-made technical teams to develop blockchain products and cooperates with fundraising companies.
In the summer, Ukrainian blockchain startup EvaCodes received $ 500,000 from the Hypra fund to develop its own startup. One of the startup’s projects will be developed based on the principle of the well-known dating app Tinder.
