Blockchain startup offers to find a soul mate through a shared love of cryptocurrency tokens

10:08 am, September 27, 2022

A new app called metaMATCH will help single cryptocurrency and NFT fans find a match based on common blockchain preferences. The unique startup was described by its founder and developer Emily Lyons.

According to Lyons, traditional online dating lacks attention to each individual and their preferences, and metaMATCH promised to solve this problem. To find the perfect match, the app will analyze users' cryptocurrency preferences, NFT communities they belong to, and NFTs they own.

«Many dating apps are based on the principle: look at the photo, swipe left, swipe right. We believe that people are more than just photos. We want to help people communicate on a deeper level and create meaningful relationships based on shared likes and values,» explained Emily Lyons. According to the founder of metaMATCH, it is unclear whether the app will feature different photos of users, in addition to avatars, or whether everything will be based on NFT preferences. As promised by the developers, metaMATCH will start working in the coming days, so very soon everyone will be able to find out how everything works.

It is interesting that representatives of one of the most popular dating sites Tinder announced the cancellation of all plans to develop their own meta universe. As it became known in early August, the developers of Match Group (the parent company that owns Tinder) have already created a new project for the development of dating in virtual reality. However, due to the «instability of digital worlds,» the company has now abandoned the launch of the Tinder metaverse.
