Blockchain technologies will be used to immortalize the memory of the deceased Joker

10:57 am, September 3, 2022

Rare photos of the deceased Hollywood actor Heath Ledger, who played the Joker, will be turned into NFTs — in this way, the authors of the collection hope to immortalize the memory of the star.

As it became known, the unique NFT collection will feature unknown photos of Heath Ledger taken by Ben Watts (he photographed for Polo Ralph Lauren and The Gap). The auction for the non-fungible tokens is scheduled to start on September 14, and NFT holders will be able to get physical photos of the actor signed by Ben Watts or a full-fledged printed magazine with Ledger’s photos.

The authors of the collection have promised that part of the proceeds from the sale of NFT will be donated to the Heath Ledger Foundation. The charitable organization finances a scholarship program for Australian aspiring actors.

Interestingly, in January, Heath Ledger’s image was included in Johnny Depp 's Never Fear Truth NFT collection. The actor drew images of his friends, which he later turned into NFTs, and among many famous people there is an NFT of Heath Ledger.
