British artist creates virtual NFT tokens in honor of Elizabeth II

11:35 am, June 7, 2022

British artist Nasir Azam has released a collection of non-fungible tokens featuring the image of Queen Elizabeth II. The Platinum Queen series was created to mark the 70th anniversary of Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne.

The launch of the collection was announced on the Terra Virtua crypto platform, where NFTs will be available for purchase. Anyone can buy the collection by paying $ 1500. Each buyer will receive 7 colorful portraits of Elizabeth II and 10 minted tokens for each portrait.

«The number of Platinum Queen exhibits repeats the number of years the Queen spent in service to her subjects. Elizabeth II has promoted and inspired many figures in various fields, including pop music, culture, charity, and technology. With this series, I was fortunate to capture her longstanding influence on the arts using Web3 tools,» said Nasir Azam.

It is worth noting that the creation and sale of NFT tokens can bring large profits to authors. For example, 19-year-old teenager Victor Langlois earned almost $ 50 million in just over a year from the sale of his non-fungible tokens. One can only imagine how much money will be received from the sale of the Queen’s NFT.
