Changpeng Zhao calls Sam Bankman-Fried a psychopath
Чанпен Чжао" href="https://noworries.media/biography/chanpen-chzhao/" data-bio-id="3681">Changpeng Zhao, CEO of the leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance, advised Сем Бенкман-Фрід" href="https://noworries.media/biography/sem-benkman-frid/" data-bio-id="3697">Sam Bankman-Fried to refrain from misleading messages on Twitter and instead focus on «his own colossal problems with FTX.»
In one of his tweets, Fried referred to a mysterious «sparring partner» who may have played a role in the exchange's collapse. According to some speculations in the crypto community, it could have been Zhao.
20) At some point I might have more to say about a particular sparring partner, so to speak.
But you know, glass houses. So for now, all I’ll say is:
well played; you won.

Changpeng Zhao, in turn, said that only a «psychopath» could come up with such a tweet. The head of Binance emphasized that the cryptocurrency industry «is not a boxing match,» and Binance has never perceived any of its competitors in this way.
As you can see, the former FTX CEO posted another series of cryptic tweets that did not provide a sufficient explanation of what was going on. As Binance is the largest player in the industry and decided to abandon its FTT tokens ahead of the Bankman-Fried exchange’s collapse, some social media users suggested that the mysterious «sparring partner» could be the largest crypto exchange or its CEO.
In conclusion, Benkman-Fried once again apologized and promised to share new information about the developments.
22) And, finally:
I sincerely apologize.
We’ll keep sharing updates as we have them.

Recently, the former CEO of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange also created a strange Twitter thread that caught the attention of the crypto community. At the time, well-known journalist Alex Berenson suggested that Benkman-Fried's tweets could signal that the FTX founder was under psychological pressure. The journalist warned that the pressure would only increase if Fried had to stand trial. Therefore, the ex-head of FTX could potentially be inventing a mental illness for himself.
